I sat next to an old man today.
Tall and lanky,
feet the size of a child's play ocean liner.
I could tell he had resented his height,
never able to get a hang of those long arms and legs.
His mother would apologize: "Accident-prone, runs in the family don't ya know?"
Now old, he is still plagued by growth:
ears
nose
they continue to grow-to spite the man.
